Nepal is beauty country in the world which have many beautiful natural resources like mountain, water resources etc. forest is
the also one of them. There are many forest spread in all
Nepal. Out of the total area of
Nepal, forest covered only 29% area in 1994.
Forest coverage land is rapidly decreased in our country. In research of 1978 there was 38% of forest in
Nepal. And the quality of forest is also being decrease. Most of the
forest of Nepal has been concentrated more of less along the east-west highway. The forest of mid hills and
Himalayas are massively degraded. There is 25.9% forest out of the total land area in the EDR. Similarly, CDR, WDR, MWDR and FWDR have 33.5, 25, 28.2 and 35.2% forest area out of total land area of these development regions respectively. During the period of 1978 to 1994, the decreasing rate of forest was 1.7% in the national level.
